Join the neighborhood for the 14th Annual Al & Sandy Snyder Home and Garden Tour. So we all can be “safer at home” this year, the tour is virtual only. Upload your photos or video to:
https://Padlet.com/
You can post anytime between now and June 30th.
Remember to #Hashtag your street! The post with most ‘likes’ will win a gift card!
This neighborhood tradition showcases our unique Jefferson Manor properties. Have a smart home renovation, DIY project, or landscape inspiration to show? Show off your home, yard (or both!), it’s up to you. You pick what to show and what is off-limits. Just backyard, only kitchen, main floor, etc.
The tour, hosted by the JMCA, was named for Al & Sandy Snyder in 2013. The Snyders bought their first home as newlyweds in Jefferson Manor in 1947. They raised their three children here and lived in the Manor until 2011.

Join your neighbors as we clean up our park and watershed on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Masks and social distancing are required. Gloves, bags, and tongs will be provided (while supplies last!). Please bring your own water.
The Fairfax County Park Authority is requesting volunteers to sign a waiver. We will provide these on-site.
Meet at the parking lot of Jefferson Manor Park at 9:00 AM.
The JMCA will host an ONLINE ONLY community meeting on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 7:00 PM.

Jefferson Manor residents are invited to attend our community’s bi-monthly meeting followed by a viewing of The Lego Movie. JMCA membership is not required; however, you are welcome to join or renew for 2023 while there!
DETAILS: We are trying something new for adults and kids alike! Bundle up, bring something to sit on plus an electric blanket and extension cord if you want, and certainly BYOB. We’ll have some things to share, of course. The JMCA Community Meeting will kick off at 6:30 pm outside. JMCA President Derek Cole will give updates from his meeting with Fairfax County’s Franconia District Supervisor Rodney Lusk. We’ll also talk about the fun coming up in December.
Immediately afterward, we will watch The Lego Movie on a large outdoor screen supplied by neighbor Sarah Daley. If you can’t come to the meeting but want to join us for the movie—that is allowed! Runtime is 1 hour and 40 minutes, so we’ll get you home by the time it gets much colder. The Lego Movie is hilarious whether you are 8 or 48. We’ve checked the rules and requirements – movie night is a go!
The Jefferson Manor Citizens Assn invites our neighbors to a winter holidays gathering.
Join fellow Manorites for cookies, cocoa, candy canes, goodie bags for kids, and a photo op with Santa! We’ll accept donations of canned/non-perishable food items and Toys for Tots. Adult Happy Hour follows, hosted by Adam and Ashley Davis.
- Saturday evening, December 17th sometime between 6 and 7 the heroes of Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department will slowly drive through the Manor, with sirens blaring. Santa will be front and center on the ladder truck.
- Please show them a hardy Manor welcome! Signs and decorations are encouraged. Our local Penn Daw station is within the top ten U.S. stations in calls for service……, it would be great to show them that they are appreciated!
- The route posted below may NOT be the final route. To ensure a viewing, the corner of Fairhaven and Monticello will be your best viewing opportunity.
- This event is subject to vehicle and personnel availability, calls for service will take precedence. There is no proposed makeup date.
- I will try to “live post” as Santa approaches the neighborhood……
- I’m looking forward to seeing our first responders meet some neighbors, let’s show Santa the spirit of the Manor!
