Are you a JMCA member? Members, and those who wish to join our neighborhood association on the spot, are invited to a special beer tasting. We will feature a New England IPA brewed by neighbors Kelly Marshall and a Hefeweizen by Chris McClintock. For those who don’t like beer, we’ll have rose (also pronounced Brosé), compliments of neighbors Kay Floyd and Pierce Blue. People-friendly dogs are welcome. All drinkers must be 21+. To join JMCA and attend this FABULOUS event, visit here and select one- or two-year membership: http://jeffersonmanor.org/
All members will receive a complimentary reusable cup with the new Jefferson Manor logo!
On behalf of Neighborhood Watch, join your fellow Jefferson Manor residents at the Jefferson Manor Park Pavilion for National Night Out! We will be serving hot dogs (veggie options available), ice cream, root beer, and other cold beverages to all who attend! Owners, renters, and friends welcome. And we are expecting a few special visitors!
More on NNO…
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August.
Join the neighborhood to celebrate the best community in Northern Virginia – Jefferson Manor! The JMCA neighborhood block party will be on September 29 on Monticello Road, near the intersection of Fairhaven Ave starting at 5:00 PM.
We’ll have a Biergarten (for those of age), kids games, catered food, our chili cook-off and pie contest, cornhole, and so much more! Come out to celebrate our community, get a Manor t-shirt, tote, or cup and have some fun! Volunteers and activity ideas needed and welcome.
Calling all kids! And kids at heart! Come to the park to show off your Halloween costumes, paint a pumpkin, and enjoy our Fall Potluck.
We’ll meet at Jefferson Manor Park from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Last names A-F can bring a main course (meat, pasta, casserole, soup/stew), G-N can bring a side dish (salad, veggie, bread), and O-Z can bring dessert. But if you have a recipe you love, go ahead and break the rules!
No requirement to bring food or drink to enjoy the fun. Don’t forget to wear your costume!
We hope you’ll join your neighbors in celebrating!
Fairfax County is creating Urban Design Guidelines for the Richmond Highway corridor. The Guidelines provide details on many of the recommendations described in the Embark Comprehensive Plan including the appearance and function of streets, parks and plazas, and other elements of the public realm.
To kick this project off, the County invites everyone in the community to participate in an Urban Design Workshop to share their design ideas for Richmond Highway.
