Fall Festival @ Jefferson Manor Park

Join your neighbors for Jefferson Manor’s Annual Fall Festival.

We’ll meet at Jefferson Manor Park from 1pm to 4pm. Join us for a kids and adult costume contest, games, crafts, and a potluck!

No requirement to bring food or drink to enjoy the fun. Don’t forget to wear your costume!

Jefferson Manor Holiday Extravaganza @ The Davis Home

JMCA is proud to present our holiday extravaganza featuring Cookies & Cocoa with Santa (bring your own camera or smartphone for pictures), Reindeer Race at 3:30, and lighting of the Menorah (all are welcome) at 4:30. Bring a new and unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots. A big thank you to our sponsors Captain Cookie, Onelife Fitness, and the Davis Family.

Town Hall with Sen. Adam Ebbin and Del. Mark Sickles @ Mount Eagle Elementary School

State Senator Adam Ebbin and Delegate Mark Sickles are hosting a town hall meeting as the next session of the Virginia Assembly begins. The town hall is on Saturday, January 20 from Noon-1:30 PM at Mount Eagle Elementary School. Come out to hear from our local representatives and ask questions about the next legislative session.


JMCA Community Meeting & Elections @ Tanger Kebab House

** LOCATION CHANGE** The JMCA bi-monthly community meeting is rescheduled for Saturday, March 31 at 10:00 am at Tanger Kabob House at 5735 Telegraph Road – The JMCA will provide complimentary coffee service.

Representatives of Stout and Teague, who will be redeveloping the site of the old Metro police headquarters (adjacent to the Huntington Metro) will present a proposal and options for re-routing the access road behind Mount Eagle Park. They are seeking our community’s feedback on the options.

All JMCA events and meetings are KID-FRIENDLY unless otherwise noted (e.g. the Adult Holiday Happy Hour).

The Board Elections will be held at this meeting. All members are invited to meet candidates and vote for your 2018-2019 Board!

Join the neighborhood for the 12th Annual Al & Sandy Snyder Home and Garden Tour. The self-guided tour showcases our unique Jefferson Manor properties. Have a smart home renovation, DIY project, or landscape inspiration to show? Show off your home, yard (or both!), it’s up to you. You pick what to show and what is off-limits. Just backyard, only kitchen, main floor, etc.

The tour, hosted by the JMCA, was named for Al & Sandy Snyder in 2013. The Snyders bought their first home as newlyweds in Jefferson Manor in 1947. They raised their three children here and lived in the Manor until 2011.

The tour will start and end at 2803 Fairhaven Ave, Alexandria, VA. Join neighbors for an after-tour happy hour hosted by the Davis family at 2803 Fairhaven Ave.
